To ensure confidence in supporting HI4Y’s mission and activities, we declare all donors have these rights:

  1. To be informed of the organization’s mission, intent to use donated resources, and capacity to deliver sponsored services.
  2. To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s Board of Directors, and to expect said Board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
  3. To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s senior staff, and to expect said staff to exercise prudent judgment in its management responsibilities.
  4. To have access to the organization’s most recent audited financial statements.
  5. To be assured all gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
  6. To receive appropriate acknowledgment.
  7. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
  8. To expect that all relationships and interactions with HI4Y and its affiliates will be professional.
  9. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization, or hired solicitors.
  10. To be assured that HI4Y will neither trade, share, nor sell a donor’s personal information (including email addresses, physical addresses, as well as phone numbers) with anyone. Nor will HI4Y send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. This applies to both online and offline donors.
