DISCONNECT FROM TECHNOLOGY AND RECONNECT YOUR TEEN TO THE WORLD

TEEN OUTDOOR ADVENTURE PROGRAM

Our teen programs are designed to challenge and inspire campers aged 14-16, while also providing a fun and supportive environment where they can make new friends and create lifelong memories. These adventure experiences provide an opportunity for campers to develop independence, build new skills, and challenge themselves physically and mentally.

With eight different programs to choose from, there's something for everyone at Camp Vacamas.

Teens choose from Biking, Canoeing, Camping, Backpacking and Canoeing (CBC), Rock Climbing, T3 - Teen Triathlon Training, S.O.S. - Survival Outdoor Skills, Leaders in Training (LIT), and Lifeguard Training (LGT).  Along with the specialty area we include traditional camp activities: swimming, hiking, sports, high ropes, and cooking over a campfire.

At Camp Vacamas, we prioritize safety and support personal growth and self-discovery. Our technology-free environment encourages campers to “unplug” and connect with their surroundings and each other, while our experienced and supportive staff provide mentorship and guidance every step of the way.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to give your teen a summer they'll never forget. Enroll them in one of our teen programs today!

Safety

Our number one priority is the safety of your child. We maintain a high staff-to-camper ratio, and our experienced staff members are background-checked, fully trained and carefully supervised. Camp Vacamas is accredited by the American Camp Association, as well as local and state Health Departments. We have an onsite medical team, and there is a hospital just minutes away. All waterfront activities are conducted by certified American Red Cross Swim Instructors, Lifeguards, and a Waterfront Director.

Affordability

As a non-profit organization, HI4Y’s aim is to make sure that summer camp is affordable for all children. Each child’s fee is set individually, taking into account family size and income using a sliding fee scale. Our fees are a great deal less than other summer programs, and sibling discounts are available.

At Camp Vacamas, our fees for 19 day sessions range from $935 to $2,275 per session for the full range of activities.

Transportation

Transportation to camp is provided from NYC, Westchester and selected locations in New Jersey at no additional cost.

I had an amazing time on the canoe trip and met some of my best friends there. We explored some beautiful places and I learned so much.
